Interview with Zoila

COM INTERVIEW ZOILA CEVALLOS Lecar
Guayaquil - Ecuador

John Cruzué

recently wrote to Sister Zoila Cevallos, publisher Blog Hablando con Dios inquiring about the God's work in Ecuador. Wondered about the relationship between the government and the Evangelical Church, where there is freedom in the country to preach the Gospel. And if there is a Law of Religious Affairs, as in Chile.

also asked about the pastors whose works stand out there. Zoila Cevallos Sr. is Professor Music Theological Seminary in Guayaquil, blogger is affiliated with UB And , and belongs to a traditional evangelical family in Ecuador. Zoila

Sr. also spoke of an interesting law of Ecuador, which requires the evangelical pastors delivering him his annual statements of assets, which acts to transparency and to avoid the "dealers" in the word of God.

is a very interesting interview. In English, but once you have time, I'll take care of translating it, though I know none of us have difficulty understanding the text. With you, the answer Sister Zoila, Ecuador.

"Dear brother, João Batista:

I greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, hoping that the spill abundant blessings on you, your family and the ministry has been assigned within the church.

With regard to your question, I say thank God our laws, so far, allow us to act freely in church services. There is no prohibition to preach word. What we are analyzing the government of our country is that the pastors of the churches hold a statement of goods each year, and I very much agree with this, because now the gospel is being widely used by pastors to take advantage of pseudo faith of the brothers, and there are many "pastors" who are very rich, if not millionaires at the expense of the brethren of the churches. All this is happening on the famous doctrine of "prosperity gospel" it is confusing to the brothers in the faith.

As the church's relations with the government. I can tell you that there is some tension, precisely because these pastors are those who refuse to account for this would imply a scandal to their ways of doing things within their churches. But we hope in the Lord that has a peaceful, without the Gospel is concerned.

As for your last question about the evangelist or missionary influence in my country ... I have three names of pastors because I know their paths.

As a missionary, is the brother José Geez, who works in the province of Chimborazo preaching among indigenous peoples. When he got there, there was the gospel, and he, like the Apostle Paul, suffered some persecution, including the stoning but all God saved him. Even the Lord gave the gift of healing, so that in those places God manifested His power and the Indians believe in Him now his church is the center of all other evangelistic activities in the region. This pastor lives in a humble way and continues to serve the Lord, despite his advanced age.

As pastors, first I have the name of my grandfather Lecaro Miguel Tobar, who was for many years the voice of a program called "Partnership in March." He has been pastor of the Alliance of Guayaquil Temple for over 60 years, promoter of missions, and has written many books and pamphlets Christians, such as: It was by grace, the power of perseverance, etc. (Can not remember all they are more than 30 publications.) He was invited inside and outside the country to preach the Word in evangelísticas.Actualmente campaign continues to serve in the Temple Alliance despite its age, and we hope to continue doing so until the Lord takes you to its presence.

The other pastor that is very important to the evangelical world is my father, Dr. Isidoro Cevallos Basurto, my father more than a pastor, is an evangelist (his specialty is cults evangelism) and more than 30 years has been professor at Alliance Bible Seminary in the city of Guayaquil. For classes of Homiletics and Hermeneutics have spent countless students who are now pastors in churches of all Protestant denominations in our country. So my father is not only a preacher of the Word, but teach others to prepare sermons for them to get a better way to their respective congregations.

Well brother, I hope I have answered your questions. Excuse me for mentioning my family, but really, I can attest to the work of my father and grandfather, not the other pastors. In addition, they are known in the evangelical world of our country, and brother met him Geez, when small visiting my dad and we had the testimony of his travels and all that he suffered as a preacher.

Finally, I would like to know how the gospel up in your country?

Thanks for letting me speak a little of the evangelical world in Ecuador.

Fraternally in Christ,

COMPLEMENT DA INTERVIEW

1) How do liturgy é Worship / Service Igreja da sua família onde Deus serve?

Well, with respect to this question I can say with much regret, that the healthy Liturgy in our country is slowly losing. Many pastors are interested in having rooms full, but do not notice whether or not the audience turned to them. Montan shows instead of preparing true worship of praise and worship to God. Looking for that cults are attractive to people, so include music with world rhythms and say that it is sanctified by the letter rhythm ...

For me as a musician consecrated to God I have a lot of sadness as cults in Ecuador are following the guidelines of other countries and everything to attract people and have filled their rooms.

But, thank God, there is still a remnant. We were a few churches where pastors preach and advocate a focused Liturgy to honor and glorify the Holy Name of our God, and among these churches is the Church of the Living God who is the congregation where my father is a pastor and with my mother and sister, are the support he needed to feed the sheep that one day the Lord instructed.

2) Quem são you singing gospel music principais do Equador?

As for the main singers in my country, I will not mention names because I know worldly rhythms used to capture the interest of the people and I see no difference between what they were singing (when they were in the world) and what is currently produced, musically speaking.

You may have somewhere in my country any singer I really praise God, but I know of its existence, precisely because these brothers one touting its praises. They are attractive to young people.

3) As e onde be converted batizam novos you no Equador? About

baptism. Baptize following the teachings Bible: in the water, and in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

usually have their own churches baptisteries and that is where these programs are performed baptisms. But we do not have a proper place, we can go to the beach or pay a private pool for baptisms.

4) evangelical political Existem no country - Like Igreja lida com a presença two years we das eleições candidates?

Yes there are candidates who claim to be Christians and politicians at a time, but as for his works will know, one can see that they are not true believers.

Personally, I'm not agree that evangelical Christians enter politics. First, that God has called us to preach His Word and not be distracted by matters outside the church.

Second, politics has always been and will be dirty, and a Christian in politics, sooner or later "entangled in the affairs of life" to please his followers and to stay in political office.

5) Equador é um secular country Romana Igreja ou tem to primazia ...? The

Ecuador many years ago is a secular country, but the Catholic Church had enough interference in political affairs. Since taking power the President Rafael Correa, put enough order to the subject, and the Catholic Church has no greater force as they once had.

That does not mean that the Catholic Church is behind the anti-government groups because they are not very happy with the new religious policy.

6) Conte e seu salvação Testemunho of faith.

I was born into a Christian family, and seeing every Sunday to preach to my grandfather (Michael Lecaro) or my father (Isidoro Cevallos). Plus, when I was about 10 years, heard a sermon in which it was emphasized that salvation was personal and that I was the daughter and granddaughter pastors did not save me.

Since that day, I accepted Christ into my life, recognizing that was a sinner and needed God in my heart.

however, has not been easy for me to Christian life, then, for my profession as a teacher of piano, concerts, and meetings with friends from the conservatory, at some point in my life, they were more important than God. But, he was commissioned by many events in my life, to straighten my paths and correct my way to keep me apart from the gospel.

Finally, the biggest and best game I've had (as a believer in Christ) with my God, it's been three years since my family and I were hit by a chase our labor of love. We suffered a lot, cried a lot because we did not understand how, if we were working for the Lord, there were "brothers in faith" that smeared our witness and tried to sink the ministry of my father, and therefore of all of us.

But there was the Lord, strengthen us and showing us that these unfortunate events, that this storm did not come from him, but the devil as a roaring lion wanted to eat us ...

When the storm passed, my father, mother, brothers and I we like gold refined, stronger and dependent on God, because we could see all the power of our Savior in that situation, and how in his infinite mercy saved us and said in his work within the church.

As director of the praise in my church and a professor of Liturgy at the Alliance Bible Seminary, I am grateful to God for all the wonderful days that allowed me to walk with Him, as I have shown a far more excellent way that the world can offer me, and it is within his church, serving with the talent that He has given me, and also bearing witness to my faith in my workplace because I work in a secular place.

Beloved, spirit, the Lord is near. Do not worry if they come into their lives countless tests, be sure that our captain (God) is directing the boat of their lives and will not allow any of you should perish.

Finally I can only say:

"But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His Grace has not been in vain for me ..."

(I Cor.15: 10 th)
