Murphy and the Law of God

The prodigal son Joshua Mora Peña

"Murphy's Law says if something go wrong, no matter what you do, you should go wrong. Some become slaves of the law. According to them, everything goes wrong in life, even those things they have planned in detail, they go wrong. This not have to be so, but nevertheless, some live under this law, Murphy's Law.

True nobody is exempt from the laws that govern this world, natural laws, physical, civil, federal, and without any you doubt, many more laws. A common law today is "the law of retaliation" eye for eye, tooth for tooth "or in other words," that makes me pay me. " We call this revenge or vengeance. But there is another very important law is the law of God.

The people of Israel lived for forty years in the wilderness. By doing God's will and fulfill his commandments and statutes lived under the law of Murphy. All they got wrong, constantly criticized Moses longed for the wandering life protesters who had lived and because they deserved, disobeyed God and His servant Moses. They rebelled against their Creator and the Bible itself clearly states that those who sinned, they were in the desert, did not enter the promised land, a land flowing with milk and honey. Only two people they left Egypt 40 years earlier, entered the land God had promised them, Joshua and Caleb. Not even Moses could enjoy the land they both wanted to know because it disobeyed God. That is tremendous break the laws of God!

Someone said once that "actually, we do not we break God's laws, they break us us." And how true is this! By disobeying any of divine laws, we are the ones who suffer the consequences. Ignoring the provisions of God, does not affect you disobey the law that affects us but ourselves, that we break His laws.

The Bible says that the Pharisees lived under the law of righteousness. It is true that is owed to them the flame of God that has kept alive between the period of the two Testaments, but during the time of Christ, members of this sect were too extreme, legalistic, fans, wanting to comply with all All the Law (of God and Moses) when they themselves not kept, so Christ called them hypocrites and condemn, among other things. In Luke 11:42 we read: "But, about us, Pharisees! You tithe mint and rue and every herb, and pass over justice and the love of God. These things I have done, without leaving that." Read the following verses to see that even the interpreters of the law were offended by the words that Christ told the Pharisees.

In the United States, during her time of colonization, there was another law. It was the time of the cowboys, they had to protect their rights and this law is meant those who were quicker to draw his gun to defend themselves. It was called the "law of the strongest" but in reality it was the law of fast. Many films have been filmed in this connection.

The Bible speaks about another law, "the law of sin and death." This law is one that condemns us. In Romans 6:16 we read, "Do you not know that if you yield yourselves servants to obey, are slaves of the one whom you obey, whether of sin unto death, or of disobedience to justice?" And Paul himself, who wrote the letter to the Romans says in chapter 7, verse 24, "Miserable me! Who will free me from this body of death?" And the same is given the answer to your rhetorical question in chapter 8, verse 1, "And now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. "Notice that the word Spirit is capitalized, meaning that it is the Holy Spirit, the third person of the trinity.

This law of sin and of death, which kills humans. Living under the law of sin and death is, in fact, living under Murphy's Law. Everyone who lives in disobedience to God suffers the consequences of his sin. A Throughout the Bible we realize that there was a human being who has sinned and been spared the consequences. All received payment for what they did wrong. All they got it wrong and it was not until annealed his sin, he was asked God's forgiveness and then God prospered in everything.

And history repeats itself. Today, all those living under Murphy's Law can not prosper in life, everything goes wrong. For most who strive to make things right, even after meticulous planning, in the end, do not leave things as they thought.

But you do not have to live under the law of Murphy. God promises us in Joshua 1:8 that if we do everything that is written in that book [the Bible] will be all right "shall not depart from your mouth this book of the law, but day and night meditate on it, to observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt your way prosperous, and you will have success. "It is so simple that even a child understands very well what it means. It's a matter of obedience. To know obeying God, doing what the Bible says.

It is interesting living, indeed, under the law of God! Making and living according to His will. Everything will be OK, according to his will, when we hold to God's law, the law of love.

I want to finish with a Bible verse, Romans 7:22, "because according to my inner being I delight in the law of God." Under what law are you living? "Under the law of God or Murphy?"

Hurricane Gustav destroyed 10 homes em Pinar del Rio - Cuba

For Reverend Felipe Sanchez Lorenzo

Beloved:

This hurricane hit hard in the province of Pinar del Rio and Isla de la Juventud in Cuba in the last of 26 000 dwellings (houses) that existed 20 000 are affected and 10 000 of them disappeared completely with everything they had inside, and say, there are 10 000 families were left with nothing.

residential buildings lost their tanks full of water were pulverized by the wind.

have been sent a group of doctors, psychologists and other health professionals, it is expected that after the fervor of the early days in the struggle for recovery, these families will face the harsh reality and have nothing left and fall into a depression.

In the Isle of Youth, it takes about 30 days to have power again and thus light, which affects people in every way. There is a loss of 1 400 utility poles and 200 transformers. The pylons that link to Pinar del Rio with National Energy System are all in the ground along nearly 144 km and more than 158 towers are unrecoverable because they are totally twisted by the force of the winds, all that will take months to install new and Pinar del Rio that can connect New National Energy System.

The bread is every two days on the Isle of Youth, it has only been able to recover a bakery, there is no TV signal because the TV tower was destroyed. Communications are affected by more than 96% and while already in the Isla de la Juventud and Pinar del Rio electrical and telephone brigades over 5 provinces, will be a long work period. La Isla de la Juventud looks like a war zone.

Temples have been seriously damaged and other disappeared from the face of the earth. There are many brothers and sisters fully exposed and I think we have something to do about it, being in the same way the brothers help each other, the Church in Cuba and our brothers in the nations must begin to act before the disaster so great suffered by our brothers in the Isla de la Juventud and Pinar del Rio

The Army prepared the airport in time of war and are now entering aircraft 24 hours a day with food and all sorts of help for these people; are leading to the Island Youth power plants for less power to run the bakeries and other important services. Seriously ill patients were moved to Havana as the Hospital de la Isla de la Juventud was destroyed in part. Attention has been given the 36 dialysis patients in the Pinar del Rio area in both places are churches that were destroyed.

Thank God that no human loss, but it was not long for these two territories to fully recover, we have not been able to communicate with brothers from the Isle of Youth and Pinar del Rio as there is no telephone.

We are planning, as we receive aid siblings, a road trip to Pinar del Rio and then by sea to the Isle of Youth to offer help to our brothers and carry the message of peace to many people in need, There are 25 brothers willing to leave as missionaries the disaster areas, if someone else wants to join the group contact in this way.

We covet your prayers for these territories and their inhabitants to the mercy, favor and grace of God will be felt in their lives.

Time to go beyond the intentions, our brothers need us.

In the precious name of Jesus.

Reverendo Felipe Sánchez Lorenzo.
