I think almost everyone under the sun that is running Windows you are using Internet Explorer 7 as your default Web browser. Internet Explorer 7 has changed for the big versions of Internet Explorer, not only in terms of security, but also in the aspect of the program. I first started using the Internet Explorer 7 could not imagine how loaded up Search window to perform a search the website! is a pain in the ass to learn the new interface. So now I've learned a few things, I thought to write a quick list of phone types that can use Internet Explorer 7 a little more pleasant.
1. Displays the main menu of Internet Explorer - It's sad that it took me a computer person, 2 days to find a way to see the IE 7 menu! You can display temporarily, press either the Alt key, or you can make them permanent again go to View, Toolbars and Menu Bar check clearing.
2. Do a search through the address bar - This is something that I just found in myself, but you can type in the words Search, Go, or? In the address bar followed by some keywords and this quickly perform a search using your default search provider. The cool thing here is that if your default search provider is Google, after typing in the ? keywords, is as pressing the I'm Feeling Lucky button.
Try in guy? Honda Accord in the address bar of Internet Explorer 7 and press Enter. You get carried Http: / / automobiles.honda.com / accord-sedan / , which is the homepage of the Honda Accord on the website! Nice!
3. Add different search providers and switch easily - This is a good way to find something that perhaps the default search engine is not the best, ie, books from Amazon, the phone number of a business, jobs work Monster, computer tests, etc in the top right you will see Instant Search Box and should be the name of the default search engine written in the text box.
Click on the small arrow to the right of the magnifying glass, and choose Find More Providers . get a list of search providers for web and for specific topics as mentioned above. So if you're not finding what you want through Google, add some providers and then, before performing a search, simply click on the arrow and choose another.
4. Add a group of tabs to your favorite once - This nifty little trick that can be useful from time to time. Say you have 3 or 4 different tabs open and you want to add all your favorites, you can manually click on each tab and add it to favorites or you can click on the Favorites menu and choose the option Add Tab Group to Favorites.
5. Open a bookmark folder as a tab group - This is also a wonderful little trick where you can open a folder of bookmarks in each tab quickly. Click the Favorites button (not the menu at the top, but the gold star), then navigate to the folder to open and click the blue arrow to the right of the name folder. All pages will open in separate tabs!
6. Use the Quick Tabs button to easily switch between open tabs end I found this to be one of the most useful so far! I do not like that when I have 5 tabs open and I press CNTRL + TAB to move between them. Click the Quick Tabs button and you'll get a thumbnail view of each web page you can click to view.
Quick Tabs icon might not be easy to find, but is the right of the favorite icons of gold and has 4 boxes in it. can also click the black arrow to the right of the Quick Tabs button and choose the site from there.
7. Add links toolbar for easy access to your favorite pages - One problem with any browser, you can add more than one site to load when you start the browser, but this generates multiple IE processes and eats resources. Therefore, for those of us who regularly visit some sites time and again, it is much easier to just click a button and have the page load in the same window instead of multiple windows. Also, if you're like me and do not use either of these methods, then you are wasting your time writing the address over and over.
To add the Links toolbar in Internet Explorer, click in View, Toolbars, and select Links. should see a toolbar below its links other bars.
If for some reason your link bar is the way it is right or something, right-click any empty space in the toolbar section and uncheck Lock the Toolbars. Now drag the Links bar down so that you have your own space.
To add sites to the toolbar, all you have to do is drag the small icon in the address bar for your site in the Links toolbar. For example, if you go to Microsoft.com, you'll see in the address bar of Microsoft icon blue, you can click and drag on the lower toolbar.
As you can see, I dragged the Microsoft icon below to link bar at the bottom.
I thought this would be a quick guide, but there are a number of suggestions to give, so I'll divide this into a series to make it more palatable!
